Tikka Masala is a tangy, creamy spice mix often used in grilled dishes. It typically contains cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, and other spices.
Chicken Tikka Masala (serves 2)
Ingredients:
- 250g chicken, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp tikka masala
- 1/4 cup cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken in yogurt and half the tikka masala for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill or pan-fry the chicken until almost done.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add remaining tikka masala and cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add grilled chicken and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
Paneer Tikka (serves 2)
Ingredients:
- 200g paneer, cubed
- 1 bell pepper, cubed
- 1 onion, cubed
- 2 tsp tikka masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Mix paneer, bell pepper, onion, tikka masala, and salt.
- Thread onto skewers and grill or pan-fry until charred.
- Serve hot with mint chutney.
Tikka Masala Roasted Vegetables (serves 2)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers)
- 2 tsp tikka masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Toss vegetables with oil, tikka masala, and salt.
- Spread on a baking sheet and roast at 200°C (392°F) for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve hot as a side dish or with rice.
